Pet Policy

There is no additional charge for a dog at our home.  All vaccinations for your pup must be up to date.  Pets are not permitted on the beds or chairs ever.  Please comply. 

We have a back yard and fenced lawn to run and play and there are huge parks, lots of local streets for walks and the best part is Doggie Beach located in Manasquan. That beach is sandy with gently entry, and it is located just over the bridge-just 10 minutes by car. (Be sure to take a LONG waterproof leash and towel)   Your dog will love it there.  Dogs must be on leash -

Not having your buddy on vacation with you would be like saying you are leaving your kids home. All well behaved dogs welcome. (Sorry no cats)

We are a pet friendly home, and any size dog may stay in our home. WE do have a few rules.  A reservation must be made, and it must be on your rental stay agreement BEFORE you arrive.  We should also meet the buddy even if face time. WE do charge $50. And after a stay a portion of the pet fee is used as a donation towards our local animal shelter. 

A few rules 

·       The backyard is fenced in with a 4 foot high fence. If your dog is capable of jumping over it or is a digger,  please consider bringing a chain or rope.

·       All pets are required to be walked by their owners and cleaned up after- this includes the back yard before you leave on Saturday.

Town Rules and Local Ordinances

·       Dogs must be leashed when walking around the block.

·       Dogs are not permitted in the lake and should not be encouraged to go or chase sticks therein.  The lake has snapping turtles and they can grab a dog’s leg while swimming.

·       Dogs are not permitted on Bradshaw Beach at any time.

·       Dogs are not permitted on the boardwalk at any time. 

House Rules 

·       Dogs should not be left alone for long periods of time in the house – If they are used to being crated, please do so while not at our home. 

·       If passersby on the street are walking a dog, be sure your dog is not on the screened porch. We would hate for them to push through the screen mesh and get into trouble.  The pet owner is responsible for damage to person or property.

·       Dogs cannot be left alone to bark when left alone in the house or if placed in the yard or if they are on the screened porch. If barking is a problem, you may be requested to keep the dog inside.  Not all our guests have pets, so if your dog is barking while it is left alone and upsetting our other guests, we will ask you to bring your pet with you while you are out  or you can ask if our pet sitting service is available that day. 

Notice  

Pet damage such as scratching, chewing, urine, etc. and any subsequent damage will be charged to your credit card. Aggressive pets will be asked to leave.  You will be asked to sign these rules o signing your lease.
